This month's program features three Northern members presenting a diverse set of programming.
Jim Pierce - The Psychology of the Photography Business
While all of us in the industry know how important it is to have quality photography done, the general public on the whole doesn't. Understanding how people think and why they do the things they do can give you a more complete set of tools in sales and dealing with clients.
We will be covering: How to optimize your literature for the best result, wording, layout and keeping it simple. How to get people to focus on what you want and not dwell on percieved downfalls. Creating your own brand instead of chasing after another studio's success. Identifying successful marketing and sales in other industries and translating to make it work for you. Getting clients to understand the value of hiring you. How not to compete. Dealing with "difficult" clients. We all have had them, I'll go over techniques to recognize them before you have to deal with them and how to deal with the ones that it's too late to avoid.
Feel free to bring in your promotional items, sales sheets and marketing ideas for discussion. This presentation is designed to be interactive, so be prepared to answer and ask question.
Sandra Bacon
Sandra will discuss alternative mixed media printing techniques.
